Five Things to Check Before Buying
| Item to check | This product | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Content volume / servings | 2 × 600g jars (1,200g in total). Choose one jar each from five types. Number of servings: Not confirmed | Description field of the product page. No statement on the number of servings |
| 2. Storage method and shelf life | Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Best-before date is 2 years (printed on the label). Shelf life after opening: Not confirmed | Description field of the product page |
| 3. Ingredients and allergen labeling | The ingredient is honey (Japan-produced). Allergen labeling: Not confirmed (not stated on the page). A caution not to give it to children under 1 year old is included | Checked the Rakuten Ichiba product page |
| 4. Whether it works as a gift | There is no decorative gift box, and the shop states that noshi (gift wrapping label) is basically not available. A message card (name printing not available) is offered instead | Description field of the product page |
| 5. Trends in reviews | The Rakuten Ichiba rating is 4.81 / 5 (955 reviews). We read 75 reviews, which may not reflect the product’s current condition. Points reviewers praised and points they noted are summarized by theme in the reviews section below | Rakuten Minna no Review (accessed October 13, 2026) |
Suitable as a Gift?
The product page states that this product has no decorative gift box and does not come in a gift box, so noshi (gift wrapping label) is basically not available. Instead, it states that a message card (name printing not available) can be attached. We could not confirm the types of noshi inscription. We found no statement about simple wrapping.
The description lists gifting occasions such as ochugen (mid-year gift), birthdays and uchiiwai (thank-you gift), but this does not indicate that noshi is available. We also found no statement on the product page about specifying a delivery date or time.
Among the reviews we read, one post said the buyer gave it as a birthday present to a family member (Source: Rakuten Minna no Review, accessed October 13, 2026). If the recipient has a child under 1 year old, letting them know in advance that honey should not be given to infants helps avoid misunderstandings.
