With a set that packs small amounts of many kinds of tsukudani (small foods simmered in soy sauce and sugar), it can be hard to tell what is inside and how many of each, how long it keeps, and how far it supports gift-giving. In this article, we organized what we could confirm on the product page and review pages for the “Tsukuda no Tsukudani (佃の佃煮) Oajimi Set” (お味見セット, a tasting set) sold on Rakuten Ichiba into five points: quantity, shelf life, ingredient labeling, suitability as a gift, and reviews.

Ingredients and Allergen Labeling

The ingredients field on the product page only says to check the image, and we could not confirm the ingredient names in text. This item is not confirmed. Please check the images on the product page and confirm with the seller before purchasing.

The allergen field in the product description lists wheat, shrimp, and walnuts as specified raw materials (mandatory allergen labeling in Japan), and soybeans, sesame, and mackerel as items equivalent to specified raw materials. It also notes that the ginpo (gunnel fish), akiami (paste shrimp), and river shrimp are caught with fishing methods in which crab can get mixed in (Source: Rakuten Ichiba product page, viewed October 9, 2026).

The product description states that all items are additive-free and that no food additives are used at all (the shop’s own claim). As noted above, we have not been able to confirm the breakdown of ingredients in text.

If you have food allergies, be sure to check the food information label on the product you receive.

In addition, 6 of the 14 1- and 2-star reviews were about packing or shipping, such as a torn box or noshi on arrival or a mistake in the orderer’s name (all posted from 2015 to 2018). Because these concern the shop’s handling, we did not count them as points about the product.
