Ingredients and Allergen Labeling

The ingredients field of the Rakuten Ichiba product page (accessed October 1, 2026) reads as follows for the Waguri Mont Blanc.

Chestnut cream (made in Japan), fresh cream, milk, granulated sugar, butter, wheat flour, natural cheese, egg yolk, whole egg, marron cream, almond powder, candied chestnuts (栗甘露煮), processed cheese, sweet red bean paste (小倉餡), starch syrup, wasanbon sugar, gelatin, maple sugar, hazelnut powder, rare sugar, kudzu starch, salt, vanilla paste / trehalose, acidulant, flavoring, (contains dairy, wheat, egg, almond, and gelatin in part)Source: ingredients field of the Rakuten Ichiba product page (current labeling, accessed October 1, 2026). The allergen field in the product specifications lists the same 5 items

On the other hand, the “重要なお知らせ” (important notice) field of the Amazon product page for a cake listed under the same shop name and with the same composition (the add-to-cart button is not shown, and we cannot confirm whether it is the same product) gives a different ingredient listing. It lists “glucose-fructose syrup” (ぶどう糖果糖液糖), “liquor” (洋酒), and “soy” (大豆), which are not in Rakuten’s listing, and its items and their order do not match Rakuten’s listing either. The product description field of the same Amazon page also carries the same ingredient listing as Rakuten, so the page disagrees with itself.Source: Amazon product page (accessed October 1, 2026)

This article cannot determine which is the current labeling, so it takes Rakuten’s current labeling as the basis and lists the disagreement with the Amazon field alongside it, with the sources kept separate. If you have an allergy, please take care according to the side with more items (including soy) and check the allergen label on the product you receive.

Suitable as a Gift?

The items related to gifting that are written on the Rakuten Ichiba product page are as follows.

  • Noshi (gift wrapping label): The page states that the noshi paper costs extra and is purchased separately on the product page. Because of the nature of the product, it cannot be wrapped in wrapping paper, and the page states that the noshi is applied directly to the gift box. The product description image says that noshi for gifts and celebrations and for condolences are available for a fee, with the inscription and name you want printed on them. We could not confirm which types of inscription can be chosen for this product
  • Wrapping: The “food packing method” in the product specifications is gift box, for gifting. A hand-carry bag (paper) is stated to be sold separately
  • Message cards and stickers: Under “★無料サービス” (free services) in the purchase section (as displayed on October 1, 2026; the content may change), you can choose cards for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and so on, and stickers such as a thank-you sticker. Printing a message on the back of a card is stated to cost extra
  • Name printing: We could not find any guidance on printing a name on the product itself
  • Paper showing the amount: The page states that it is not enclosed
  • Delivery date: It can be specified in the purchase section, and if none is specified, the page states that it ships as early as possible. Because the cake takes 5 to 7 hours to thaw, the page says to check the delivery date before specifying it. The shipping guide is shown as same-day shipping at the earliest (orders received by noon, excluding weekends)
